“On a rainy day, my friend and I kicked things off with hot sake, which was just what we needed. The Kinoko Nimono was the perfect starter—light, flavorful, and absolutely memorable. We also tried their signature “The Roll,” which was packed with bold flavors and a great balance of textures. The standout, however, was the Unagi Yakiniku Don. The portion of unagi was generous, and the flavors were spot-on—easily one of the best I’ve had in San Francisco. I’ll definitely be coming back to this place soon!”

“Feb 12, 2025: wandered in here on a rainy night in SF; attend a conference here yearly and flew in today. Jay, the owner, has an authentic great thing going here. Had The Roll and Snow Crab Futomaki, both exceptionally good. Topped off with Chu-Toro Nigiri and a great bottle of sake. Kept closing my eyes while enjoying; it was that good. Great service and cool, clean atmosphere. Sorry if I blow it for the people who found this gem already. Just a matter of time. Don’t change a thing Jay. Patrick”

“The oden soup was absolutely incredible, with a rich, flavorful broth that left a lasting impression. The sashimi was super fresh, and both the futomaki and yubu were delicious!! Especially the yubu, which quickly became my favorite. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re looking for a quick meal or a place to have drinks with great food, this spot is perfect. Highly recommended!”
